Food as Power Series on the Food Dignity® Podcast
In this podcast series, Food Dignity guests discuss how food systems, including food banks and nutrition programs, can inadvertently create power imbalances and restrict access to healthy food for certain populations. It advocates for a shift in how we view food, moving away from charity models and towards a system that recognizes food as a basic human right where dietitians practice cultural humility, empathy, and action to address the root causes of food access and promote food dignity.
The episodes in this package are part of a Food as Power series launched to raise awareness about food injustice. Each guest is asked, "How has food been used as power from your perspective?"
